Recent Settlements:

• The firm represented an individual suffering a closed head injury as the result of a defective boom lift. The injury did not require surgery. The firm secured a lump sum settlement for the individual in the amount of 1.5 million dollars.

• Confidential settlement received for worker injured in landfill. The firm represented this individual in both her workers’ compensation and personal injury case. After settling her workers’ compensation case for $100,000, the firm secured a confidential settlement in the victim’s personal injury case against the operator of the landfill.

• 1.4 million dollar settlement received for auto accident victim. The firm was able to secure this substantial settlement for the victim of an auto accident who, as a result of the accident, suffered various breaks/fractures in each leg, as well as other injuries.

• Mr. Morrison has obtained a 1.3 million dollar lump sum workers’ compensation settlement for an employee suffering a brain stem injury while working.

• $900,000 settlement received for denied life insurance claim. In this case, following the death of a loved one, the insurance company that issued a policy covering the deceased’s life denied the surviving family members’ claim for benefits under the policy. The office was able to secure a settlement for the limits of coverage under the policy, $900,000.

• The office recently secured a $750,000 settlement for victims of an automobile accident who suffered facial fractures, closed head injuries and other injuries.

• $675,000 settlement for victim of a skull fracture and other head injuries suffered in an auto accident.

• $590,000 settlement received for the family of a victim killed as the result of an automobile accident. As with the other settlements referenced herein, this substantial settlement was received without the necessity of the victim’s family enduring a trial.

• The firm recently obtained a $500,000 workers’ compensation settlement regarding an injured worker’s right to future medical expenses. The injured worker suffered a back injury while on the job. The injury required surgery, and the firm was able to receive the $500,000 settlement for the workers’ right to future medical care.

• $497,000 settlement received for family injured in auto accident. The firm secured this settlement for a father, mother and their two sons after each suffered various injuries as the result of an auto accident.

• $350,000 settlement received in slip and fall case. The victim in this case suffered a closed head injury after falling due to the dangerous or defective condition of the landowner’s property.

• $350,000 settlement received for mother and child due to defective road condition. The office represented this mother and child in their claim against the State of Tennessee for injuries sustained in an auto accident.

• The firm recently secured a confidential settlement for the family of a minor child who died on the property of another. The wrongful death action filed on behalf of the minor child’s family by the firm alleged the minor died as the result of a dangerous condition on the landowner’s property. The parties were able to reach a confidential settlement prior to trial.

• The office recently represented a minor brother and sister who were injured as the result of a fire at a daycare facility at which the children were staying. The parties were able to reach a confidential settlement prior to trial.

• $225,000 settlement received for plaintiff injured as the result of defective flooring in a home she rented. The victim in this case underwent shoulder surgeries as the result of falling through the defective floor.

• The office recently obtained a $190,000 settlement for an individual injured in an auto accident. The plaintiff suffered a ruptured spinal disc as a result of the accident, as well as a fracture at the C5-6 level of his spine. The injuries did not require surgery.

• The firm recently obtained a $170,000 lump sum workers' compensation settlement for an employee suffering a back injury on the job, which required surgery.

• $140,000 lump sum workers' compensation settlement received for injured worker suffering a herniated lumbar disc requiring two surgeries.
